It all starts with a call. We went to site to assess load capacity of the existing electrical installation to determine what options the customer has in terms of EV size and how many they would potentially be able to install.
Once the facts had been discovered we calculated and designed the installation giving them charging capabilities for six EV vehicles. We then applied to the supply authority using the details obtained and once accepted installation began.
Using one of our network of specialist contractors we carefully completed all ground works burying the new power cables in the ground. This was finished off by carefully replacing the existing ground to make it look like we were never there at all.
Each EV pedestal has a solid concrete base located curbside between two car parking spaces. This is the location required to place a dual pedestal which will supply two vehicles simultaneously
Installation was the exciting part. Unboxing three brand new high spec dual EV pedestals and mounting them on the concrete bases. Final electrical connections were made and tested ready for commission.
Upon commission we tested each EV pedestal to sign off and complete NICEIC certification. A demonstration is shown to the customer so they are able to safely use the pedestal and the cars are plugged in for the first time. A successful hand over allowed them to start their net zero journey.
